Melaya is a fun, cheeky & flirty dance, taken form folk roots and stylised for the stage.  During the dance a heavy veil is worn around the body and the dancer covers up and reveals glimpses of her curves.

Please bring your largest heaviest veil, or a Melaya if you have one.

Yasmina breaks down and goes through the elements of Modern Egyptian Technique - This class is suitable for beginners but Intermediate and Advanced students will also benefit from a detailed breakdown and Technique check.  This class isn't suitable for those who have never done bellydancing before.

The Magency is a traditional Egyptian open dance.  This workshop will help you uncover the secrets and creativity loacked within the Magency, which is used by dancers to showcase their talent within a varied piece of music.  Tracy will cover entrances, changes of page, and styles of dance from Baladi to Khaleegy as well as how to finish as big as you started.  This class really has everything

HIGH BEGINNER/ INTERMEDIATE

The Drum Solo is one of the most exciting portions of a Belly Dance Performance - it is where the dancer can really show her stuff!  This workshop will help you feel those rhythms and get the best out of your CD track.  If you feel that you are always counting the moves rather than acting on instinct - this workshop is for you!  Tracy will share ideas and combos for different rhythms then work towards a small 2 minute drum solo with emphasis on footwork, travel and accents.
