SOME OF OUR PAST and current Teachers Biographies

Belly Dance Divas carefully choose world class teachers, who are the very best at what they do.  At present, we are focusing on teacher who teach Egyptian style technique, and many of our teachers have a connection to Cairo, the epicenter of this technique.

We are also very careful to keep classes small, and our events are arranged to keep them friendly and social.  You can often join us and the star teacher for a meal after class.  We encourage partners/friends/family to come to meals and haflas.

AZIZA!—occasional workshops

Fabulous dancer based in Canada, has her own DVD series and has toured and performed throughout the world.  She taught in Edinburgh for Belly Dance Divas in January 2008 and 2009.

Khaled—occasional workshops

Khaled Golden Hips is known for his warm, natural and authentic interpretation of Egyptian Dance, having lived in Cairo. He is a very patient and precise teacher.

Yasmina—occasional workshops

The English Rose of Cairo - Yasmina has lived and performed in Cairo for over 10 years, and is able to break down the moves exactly, & explain  the more subtle and complex angles.

Lubna—occasional workshops
